Google Nexus 5X And Nexus 6P Packaging Leaked

Google LG Nexus 5X & Huawei Nexus 6P- Retail Boxes
Google LG Nexus 5X & Huawei Nexus 6P- Retail Boxes

A leaked image reveals the retail boxes for Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones. The packaging uses a rectangular box that looks like it has a cardboard accent sleeve, and use a stylized graphic or cutout of “X” for Nexus 5X and “P” for Nexus 6P, with what looks like a new Android stock wallpaper peeking through. It is similar but not identical to previous satellite photos used as wallpaper for Android 5.0 and higher.

You can also see the old Nexus logo on the lower right side, while the upper left corner contains the model name, phone capacity (32GB for both of these particular phones), and a silhouette of the device itself. The silhouettes match the previous leaks we have seen of both devices.

Android blog Android Police scored images of the retail boxes for both devices, which seem to further confirm the names Google has chosen for the LG and Huawei smartphones.

While, it is less than a week until Google will officially announce these two handsets at an event in San Francisco on September 29, we know pretty much every detail beforehand. Oddly, one of the last things we knew about the new LG and Huawei Nexus phones were their actual names.

Amazon India is already listing the Nexus 5X, though the handset cannot be ordered at this time. Pricing details are not mentioned, but Amazon reveals much of the hardware inside the phone.

The Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch display with Full HD resolution, 1.8 GHz hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, 2 GB of RAM, a 12.3-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, fingerprint scanner and a 2,700 mAh battery. Nexus 5X will be available in three storage options: 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB.

The Nexus 6P will have 5.7-inch WQHD display and will feature a 21-megapixel rear camera, fingerprint scanner and will support wireless charging. The phone will also sport a USB-C connector and will be available in three storage options: 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB.

With Google’s press event around the corner, we will get information on pricing and availability at the event.
