HP Leaks A New 8-inch Windows Pro Tablet 408 Specs

HP apparently has a new tablet that will be offered to the enterprise. The HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is already listed on the company's website and HP is touting the 8-inch slate as an affordable device, providing "reliable business mobility." Sure, HP already has an 8-inch tablet with the HP Stream 8, but the Pro Tablet 408 G1 offers a better camera, more memory and supports the use of a digital pen.

The IPS screen has a resolution of 1200*800 and the tablet is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3736F Bay Trail processor. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB/64GB of native storage. Those who need more storage can use the 128GB microSD slot. An 8MP camera graces the back of the tablet and there is also a front-facing 2MP snapper on board. The whole shebang is powered by a capable 4800mAh battery, and the HP Pro Tablet 408 Active Pen is an optional accessory. Dual stereo speakers are included and Windows 8.1 is pre-installed. The HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 will be assembled by Foxconn.

So far we haven't seen any pricing for the device, and availability is unknown.
