The BGR is now reporting that the update is coming within the next two weeks, or possibly sooner. The site says that it is actually been sent an early version of iOS update, and that it does indeed no longer backup the location database to iTunes the size of the database is also said to be reduced, and its apparently deleted altogether when Location Services are turned off. Netherlands-based mobile analytics group Distimo released that there are more free apps for Android than the iOS, at 134,342 to 121,845. The notable things are first, when one adds free iPad-only apps, the total number of gratis iOS apps increases to more competitive 132,239.
