Linux can be confusing for those who are unfamiliar. You can change your password in Linux, follow the simple steps below.
Open the Terminal if using a desktop environment. Otherwise, you should already be there.
Type passwd in the terminal.
If you have the right permissions, it should ask you for your old password.
After entering your old password, enter in the new desired password.
