Learn how to use device administration on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.To add or remove device administrators:

  • Touch Settings > Security.
  • Touch Device administrators.

Enable or disable installation of non-Google Play applications.

  • Touch Settings > Security.
  • Touch Unknown sources.

An informational pop-up displays.

  • Read the message and touch OK to allow installation of non-Google Play applications.When enabled, a check mark appears in the check box.

Note: Enabling this option causes your tablet and personal data to be more vulnerable to attack by applications from unknown sources. To block or warn before installing apps that may cause harm, touch Verify apps.

Passwords

When enabled, password characters display briefly as you touch them while entering passwords.

  • Touch Settings > Security.
  • Touch Make passwords visible to enable or disable brief displays of password characters. When enabled, a check mark appears in the check box.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tabs; including Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
