How To Use Nokia Music App – Nokia Lumia 2520

Learn how to use Nokia music app on your Nokia Lumia 2520. With Nokia Music, you can discover new music and listen to your old favorites. You can download Nokia Music for free from Store. To get the full features, you can buy a Nokia Music + membership.

Note: If you allow Nokia Music to run in the background, you can get notifications and artist images on your lock screen.

Mix Radio

The easiest way to check out new artists and songs in different genres is to stream music from Nokia Mix Radio. You can stream hand-picked mixes from different artists and genres and save them on your device to enjoy offline. If you do not have a valid Nokia MixRadio+ subscription, Mix radio only plays the first 30 seconds of each song in the mix.

• Open Nokia MixRadio.

• Tap the mix you want to listen to. To see all available mixes, tap see all.

Note: To search for mixes with your favorite artists, swipe in from the right of the screen, and tap Search icon.

Pause or resume music

• Tap Pause icon or Play icon.

Skip to the next song

• Tap Next icon.
• There may be a limit to how many songs you can skip.

Create a mix

With Nokia Mix Radio, you can create personalized mixes to get music recommendations in line with your favorite artists.

• Open Nokia MixRadio.

• Tap create a mix.

• Write an artist name you can add up to 3 names.

• Tap Play icon to create a mix based on the selected artists.

Take a mix offline

Enjoy mixes even when offline, and download them to your device.

• Open Nokia MixRadio.

• Drag the mix down, and tap Mix Down icon.

• To listen to the mix, swipe to Offline mixes, and tap the mix.

You can only have a limited number of mixes offline.

Delete an offline mix

• Drag the mix down, and tap Delete icon.

Buy music from Nokia Music

Discovered a great new song with Mix radio? Buy it, so you can listen to it whenever you want.

• Open Nokia MixRadio .

• While listening to Mix radio, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, and tap . Some songs can only be downloaded as part of an album.

Note: You can also tap a song in the recently played list to buy it.

• If asked, sign in to your Nokia account.

• Select a payment method, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Play music

With My music, you can easily manage your music collection.

• Open Nokia MixRadio.

• Swipe to My music.

• Tap a song, album, artist, or genre to add it to the queue.

• Tap Play selected.

Note: When listening to a song, tap the name of the artist to find out more about them.

Pause or resume playback

• Select Pause icon or Play icon.
• To play songs in a random order, tap Random Order icon.

Skip to the next or previous song

• Tap Next icon or Previous icon.
