Some of the Kindle books are hired for a period of 14 days, the person you lend it out to does not need to own a kindle, he can use any of the free Kindle apps for the iPad, Mac, PC, iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices. Publishers or rights holder determine if titles are eligible for sharing. You can see if a book is eligible for sharing on the ‘Products Details’ page. To view books you already own go to Manage Your Kindle and click the ‘+’ icon next to the book. If sharing is allowed, you’ll see ‘Loan this book’ from the list of options.
Go to Manage Your Kindle
Find the book you want to share from the list. Click on the little upside-down triangle to see if the book can be shared.
Click on ‘Loan this book’.
You will now fill out the borrower’s name and personal email address. Hit ‘Send now’ complete the process.
